Lead Paralegal

Karisa Wessling

I chose family law because behind every case is a person trying to move forward—and I take pride in helping bring clarity, stability, and a path ahead during some of the most difficult transitions in life.

Karisa Wessling, Lead Paralegal

About Karisa

Karisa demystifies the legal process for clients, preparing them for each step and ensuring they understand what to expect.  Clients appreciate Karisa’s responsiveness and clear communication.  She prides herself on making sure clients feel informed and supported throughout their case.

Behind the scenes, Karisa supports attorneys by translating strategy into execution—keeping matters organized, on track, and aligned at every stage.  She conducts detailed research and prepares accurate, well-structured, and persuasive legal documents that support the attorney’s case strategy.

Karisa brings valuable experience from her time working at Pierce County Superior Court, where she developed a well-rounded understanding of local court rules and document management systems. That background allows her to anticipate requirements, navigate procedural nuances, and ensure that filings and case materials are handled correctly and efficiently.

Known for her organization, composure, and high-quality work, Karisa is particularly effective in high-stakes situations where attention to detail and follow-through are critical.

As Lead Paralegal, Karisa is instrumental in training new team members and coordinating continued education and professional development. She helps ensure the paralegal team remains proficient in local court rules and procedures, emerging legal technology, and evolving best practices.

Clients who work with Karisa can expect organization, consistency, and a process that feels structured and well-managed from start to finish.

"We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are."

Outside the Firm

Outside of work, Karisa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping, and 4-wheeling.
